Due to two years of severe nursery losses, our board of directors has changed our focus. Rather than bareroot propagation and sales, we are shifting to education and the care and maintenance of our historic Mother Orchard.
Please consider becoming a member (below) and donating to help continue our work.

Thanks to Peaceful Valley Farm and Garden Supply (originally started by our founder Amigo Bob Cantisano), a collection of some of our favorite species and varieties will be available through them for the 2024/25 Bareroot Season.

A huge shout out to Sweetland Mercantile in North San Juan, CA for working with us. Thank you for supporting them with your purchases.

Product Details

Wonderful Pomegranates have become the standard Large, Red, Sweet and Tart fruits you see in abundance at the stores and farmer's markets and bottled into juice. It is hard to beat! Their equally sweet and tart flavor is indeed Wonderfull!

Wonderful Pomegranate originated as a cutting in Florida and was propagated prolifically in California in 1896. This one was taken from an older tree in Grass Valley which is home to California's 2 richest gold mines; the Empire Mine and the North Star Mine. The booming industry brought people and plants from around the world including many Cornish Tin miners from the UK. You can still pick up a Pasty or Celebrate a Cornish Christmas here.

Please Note: We do not ship potted plants individually. It is too expensive, but we will ship them when ordered with other barefoot trees. By themselves, they are only available for pick up in N. San Juan.
